Starlights room

For children aged
2 years to 3 years

The Starlights room, is Fun Time Nursery’s transition room, this room is to support the children in transition from 2-year-old provision to our 3–4-year-old provision and supports the other rooms in delivering outstanding childcare, following the guidelines of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework:

Personal, social, and emotional development; Communication and learning development; Physical development; Literacy; Mathematics; Expressive arts and design; and understanding of the world. These areas will be supported with various activities within the Starlights room.

This room also has an enriched environment, and the children have a continuous provision in place to ensure the children are supported and challenged appropriately and that we are progressively developing towards our curriculum goals. At all times, they have access to malleable materials e.g., paint, sand, water and play dough, which they are encouraged to make themselves using the play dough station.

At Fun Time Nursery, we believe in providing a free-flow environment and interactions between toddlers and pre-school children, allowing both groups of children to work and play together outdoors.
